Calorie Labeling Goes National!

Tucked away in the health care reform legislation is a new law requiring all food chains with more than 20 locations nationwide and all vending machines, salad bars, buffets, etc, to prominently post calories--following our lead. :) Cathy talks it up on NPR.

  1. This is quite an accomplishment! NYC DOHMH sets the standard!
I think they admitted in this article too that NYC had even higher requirements, food chains with 15 locations, instead of the federal standard of 20 locations? Glad Margot's has only one location in this respect--wouldn't want to read the calories as I ordered there.....
